This is an example of a Film awards poster which is The Oscars. This poster is very simple but works really well. The choice of colours associate with The Oscars and the use of the single picture in the centre stands out well. The picture is of an 'Oscar' which is the award they give out. The background is loads of famous film quotes in various texts and sizes in the signature 'Oscar Gold' whilst slowly fading down out to black. On the whole i think this is an excellent poster, its a simple yet effective idea that works well.
The Balcony TV Music Video Awards
This poster is an example of a music video awards. This poster compared to The Oscars one has a lot more on it in terms of pictures and layering. The choice of colours makes it stand out with the use of orange, red, black, yellow and white. There is a main centre picture of a guitar with wings coming from the side of it, along with this there are several smaller guitars round that with other pictures which appear to be small speakers. I really like this poster because of its design and i feel that the choice of colours along with the arty look of the pictures makes it jump out.
